Writers in the Community
Writers in the Community is a Kansas Authors Club program that highlights member educational and outreach efforts in our communities.
Some examples of programs that would fall under Writers in the Community news:
- Author presentations to schools and youth organizations. Presentations must be for the purpose of encouraging and teaching writing, not promoting the author’s own work (those announcements should go to general “news for all members”).
- Member and district involvement in organizing or participating in writing events and contests for community (not for profit).
- Authors conducting readings in nursing homes and as part of library, school, and other organization events for the purposes of highlighting Kansas literature or
Submit your Writers in the Community news in the form below. Information can include, but is not limited to, financial donations, time commitment of the writer/volunteer, the number of presentations and the number of personas attending presentations or participating in contests.
