Don’t forget to register by August 15 to take advantage of the Early Bird Rate for the convention. District 1 is looking forward to hosting us in Topeka this year for the 2021 State Writing Conference & Convention. Most of our workshop descriptions are now live on the website. Take a look!
Book Room registration details are now posted on the website for those who plan to attend and want to sell some books.
As well, our Virtual Bookroom remains online year-round. Members are encouraged to create a free account at ISSUU and upload sample chapters from their publications. Contact us via our Submission Form to make sure your sample book gets linked to the KAC Virtual Bookroom (follow Kansas Authors Club on ISSUU and we will follow you back!)
Upcoming District Meetings (you are invited to attend):
Tuesday, August 10, Districts 3 & 4 invite you to learn about writing for children with Jolene Haas.
Saturday, August 14, District 5 invites you to learn about narrative inquiry for fiction and non-fiction with Julie A. Sellars.
Don’t forget to enter the District 7 writing contest. Deadline August 15. See details here.
Remember that you can always watch this page of our website for announcements of upcoming meetings. If you have questions about meeting schedules, the “districts” link on the website will take you to individual district websites and contacts for those meetings.
